I feel that through software control, better temperature stability may be achieved. This will also allow me to record the spectra for large temperature range per day.

I've found something on how to send and retrieve data from a serial port using pyVisa, still I don't know how to communicate with the PXI and how to select the proper input from the PXI Do I need to create a custom VI on the PXI to make it listen for inputs via serial and to send the output data to the same port? Any suggestion will be appreciated. I'm using 2 Lakeshore 330 labview in a measurement setup.
